There is no good way to monitor the cracks of the running line fittings. In order to prevent similar incidents, the prevention and inspection can only be carried out through the factory acceptance, installation and operation of the fittings.
a. For important lines and high voltage level line fittings, manufacturers are required to carry out magnetic particle flaw detection and tensile test before leaving the factory.
b. Strengthen the inspection of the line construction department before the installation of the hardware, especially the hardware in the construction process to be subjected to a large construction load, individual hardware may crack, before the line is put into operation to carry out a careful inspection.
c. For lines with corrosion and cracks that have occurred, it is necessary to conduct boarding inspection in combination with power failure (using a 10x magnifying glass for inspection).
d. For the important lines that have been in operation for 20 years, the important casting fittings with large forces should be replaced according to the financial situation, and the replacement plan can also be determined after sampling inspection of the fittings
They are made from hot-dip galvanized steel with a W type pin made of stainless steel.
It serves to connect and secure insulators to transmission line structures, ensuring reliable electrical connections and preventing electrical arcing.
